What We Do
CORE PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS:
1. EQUITY AND CHILD RIGHTS;
Under this program, TAMF implements projects that promote equity and rights of all young people as well as projects that promote participation and protection of young people from violence, exploitation, neglect and all forms of child abuse. The program focuses on reducing and eliminating issues that hinder children from enjoying their rights. We do this through advocacy, lobbying and supporting children whose rights have been violated or affected by conflicts. TAMF helps them to obtain justice and rehabilitates them for better heath in case of abuse. TAMF also reponds to disasters and the influx of refugees into the country, promotes and protects rights of young people affected by disaster and refugees un this program.
2. EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT;
TAMF under this program implements projects to improve the quality of education for young people of all ages in Uganda, as well as projects that promote life and other related skills for young school going people and those that are not in school. TAMF also implements projects that promote the right to education and development for all young people. The program focuses on eliminating and reducing all issues that hinder young people from obtaining quality education through advocacy, lobbying and supporting the most vulnerable children to obtain quality education by sponsoring them.
3. HEALTH AND NUTRITION;
In this program, TAMF implements projects that prevent and reduce the burden of illnesses for young people, pregnant mothers and their families as well as projects that promote nutrition, sanitation, hygiene and access to safe water. We also implement projects that promote the right to health and nutrition of all young people and their families. The program focuses on eliminating and reducing all issues that hinder young people and their families from living healthy lives and obtaining quality health care through advocacy, lobbying and supporting the most vulnerable young people and their families to live healthy lives and get access to quality health care. We focus more on improving maternal, neonatal and child health as well as sexual and reproductive health of all young people.
4. CHILD AND FAMILY EMPOWERMENT;
TAMF implements projects that improve children’s standards of living together with their families. These projects include; entrepreneurship skills, saving, financial management, parenting, business development, value addition, modern agriculture, human resource management, conflict management, emergency support and family social and economic management skills. The income generating skills help children and their families to earn a living and enhance their capacity to meet their family’s financial needs. TAMF implements projects that promote social and economic rights of children and their families in Uganda through advocacy, lobbying and supporting children and families to improve their standards of living by alleviating poverty and promoting the spirit of unity, wealth creation, job creation and development in families.
